How to Afford/Fund Care
Spend with confidence, plan for the long haul, and tap into resources most people don't know about (or can't access without help).
Critical Decisions
Be ready when things change and decisions can't wait. Placement, next steps, the hard calls nobody wants to make.
Paperwork & Systems
Arrive at care, health, legal, and family meetings confidently. We'll go through the paperwork: POAs, Advance Directives, HIPAA, and more.
Ongoing Care & Dignity
Plan for cognitive decline, evolving care needs, and end-of-life wishes. Preserve dignity and reduce shame.
Safeguarding & Security
Defend against financial abuse and scams. Know who to trust, who to avoid, and what safeguards to put in place.
Family Alignment
Coordinate with an objective expert. Decide who does what, how to care long-distance, and keep the family together.
Hi. I'm Avery.
I got 'The Call' my junior year of college, when life signed me up for a crash course in caregiving.
I swapped studying for hospitals, paperwork, and phone calls that led nowhere. Everyone told me they had “answers,” but no one had solutions.
The hospital wanted to discharge before we were ready, before we even knew what was wrong. And when I asked for help, the social worker shrugged off my concerns, and the discharge planner chose not to show up.
I learned things I never planned to learn: How to get a POA signed in a hospital room. How to file disability claims and fight with banks over forms. How to navigate placement (and find the money to pay for it).
Then I did it again. Years of at home hands-on dementia care: medications, mobility, and mood swings–through hospice, until the end.
And again. Untangling another parent's finances after a health crisis. Late payments, IRS notices, fractured credit, and a mortgage at risk. I built a system from chaos and stabilized my family.
Caring for my family was expensive, in time, money, and life. But it was the right thing to do.
When it was all over, I felt I owed it to my family to do something good with the experience and knowledge I'd gained.
So I got licensed, certified, and became the person I wish had been there for me.
I’m ready for when nothing makes sense or when you don’t know who to call (and for what).
I’m qualified to help stop the midnight Googling and YouTube binge-learning.
I’m here for you–so that you don’t have to figure it out alone.

If you're ready to go deeper, we'll do a 2-hour deep-dive for an immediate and practical action plan: what to do now, and what can wait.

When you're ready, I'll design a roadmap tailored to your individual elder care circumstances. I'll go through all the docs and details, so you don't have to. We'll discuss a detailed plan to move forward so that you can breathe with confidence, and be prepared for whatever's next. This is delivered across two 1-hour sessions.

My support doesn't stop after delivering your roadmap. We'll schedule a session whenever there's a big decision, unexpected curveball, or if you just need to talk.

It's important to me that you know exactly what you'll get—and what you'll pay. If your situation doesn't fit the usual path most clients follow, we'll figure it out on our free call, and tailor a solution to you.

How do sessions work?
It's important that we start with a free intro phone call to see if we're a good fit to work together. If we both decide to move forward, we'll meet by Zoom—unless you prefer phone. I'll send you any notes and important information after each session so that you can easily reference what we talked about. If you have questions between sessions, or if you need to get in touch for an urgent matter, I do my best to respond to emails by the next day. I might send you a short form (5-10 minutes) to complete before our 2-hour intensive workshop. This would be foundational information so that we can get the most out of that initial session, and maximize time for Q&A. Before I start on your comprehensive roadmap, I'll ask you to send me any important documents that we identified together.
